IS BRANSCOMBE BEACH DOG FRIENDLY?

The village of Branscombe has its own secluded shingle slice of the South Devon coastline. Branscombe Beach is a fantastic year-round dog-friendly beach that lies a short stroll from the Masons Arms. Be aware, there is a small restricted area pups are asked not to enter.

IS BEER BEACH DOG FRIENDLY?

Playful pups are also allowed on the nearby Beer Beach, although only between October 1st and April 30th. Beer shelters behind white chalk cliffs and is a natural cove and suntrap, with an intriguing history steeped in tales of smuggling.

Soak up the scenery from Jubilee Gardens, a vista that stretches across the ocean and the gentle bobbing shapes of working fishing boats. You’ll pass several notable landmarks along the way, including a historic forge, old bakery, and manor mill. Complete your walk with a much-deserved pint!

SALCOMBE HILL HIKE

Follow our lead. If you're up for the challenge, you could walk from the Masons Arms, or alternatively park up at the bottom of the hill to save your energy for the hike up. Enjoy spectacular views out across the horizon together on your hike up before refuelling on the Frogstone Steps.
