Best pub in Devon
Quite simply the best hotel/restaurant/pub in Devon, indeed probably the south West. This is the quintessential English pub with fabulous local ales, all of the food is sourced from the south-west of England and is cooked to perfection. The staff are friendly and engaging. I think it’s now my favourite Gastro pub in England.

An absolute delight of a trip
We went for a triple 60th birthday celebration dinner. Oh my!! From the moment we arrived we were treated superbly. The staff were like angels from paradise seeking to resolve your every need. We all agreed that the food was just perfect. The St Austell Tribute was in perfect condition and tasted as it should. This is a fine pub, with great beer and food. The staff are attentive and polite – every one of them.

Love this pub
We absolutely love this pub and visit it often for drinks after a walk on the beach however we’ve never eaten there until the weekend. As it was my husband’s birthday, I booked us a table and it was fabulous! The food was so delicious and we had brilliant service – the team made it extra special for my husband too. Highly recommend

Simply perfect. Went in for lunch, very good menu and amazing food. The staff were very attentive and looked after us well. Will definitely return. Didn’t stay there so cant comment on accommodation. But have every intention to stay there soon. Thank you team

What a beautiful pub and the sun was shining too!! All of the staff at The Masons were so very happy and welcoming. The food and beer here were top tier and I could not fault it.

Fantastic Mother’s Day. They even had a nice card and some fudge on the table waiting for us as a little gift. Food and wine were great and well priced and the staff were very attentive
