All rooms at The Masons Arms are non smoking.
At weekends the minimum booking is for two nights, we may relax this at our discretion.
All rooms are offered subject to them being available on receipt of deposit.
DEPOSITS
For a stay of 1-3 nights a deposit of £50 is required to secure all advance bookings. For a stay of 4 nights or more the deposit is £100. Deposits are only refundable at the absolute discretion of the hotel management and also if the hotel has been able to re-let the accommodation.
CANCELLATIONS
When a reservation is made both the guest and the hotel management enter into a legally binding contract. In the event of a booking being cancelled, particularly at short notice, the law provides for the hotel to render a cancellation charge, which will not be just for the deposit paid, and may be for a substantial sum. The usual formula for calculating a cancellation charge is the total value of the reservation less VAT multiplied by 66%. The deposit paid would then be deducted leaving a balance cost payable. Prior to this, however, hoteliers must try to minimise their loss by attempting to re-let the accommodation. We would therefore, as recommended and endorsed by the South West Tourist Board, politely draw your attention to consideration of Holiday Cancellation Insurance, details of which are available from the Hotel.
The Management reserves the right to alter these terms and prices at its absolute discretion without prior notice.
Please note that any cancellation by you of a reservation must be notified to us in writing and will take effect on the day it is received by us.
We do advise you to take holiday insurance to cover the cost of your deposit and holiday.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
A signed credit card imprint will be required on arrival for further charges such as telephone calls, drinks etc, and any outstanding charges on departure will be debited.Accounts can be settled in cash, MASTERCARD, VISA, DELTA or MAESTRO card. Regretfully cheques (personal or company) will not be accepted on departure, and any deposit cheques must be presented in sufficient time (at least 10 days) for clearance.
