Accommodation at The Masons Arms

All the bedrooms at the Masons Arms have been carefully designed to provide comfort and individuality and many come with four poster beds.

There is no 'best room' at the Masons Arms, because everyone has their own personal favourite. What we do offer is the perfect solution to cater to differing budgets. Each room is individually priced to reflect its comparable standard and many of our regular guests comment on the value for money we offer. All rooms have a private ensuite bathroom, television, hair dryer, direct dial telephone and tea and coffee making facilities.

We accept dogs in several of our cottage rooms at a nightly charge of £10 per night. Please discuss with reception at the time of booking.

Each additional bed used in the adjoining room to Room 23 is charged at £35.00 a night (Bed & Breakfast). Z-beds throughout the inn are available for children under 12 and are charged at £25.00 a night (Bed & Breakfast).

The Masons Arms has seven bedrooms located within the original inn building, these bedrooms are above the bar and restaurant. These rooms still boast many of the original features associated with the fourteenth century Masons Arms, including wooden beamed ceilings and antique furnishings and all have ensuite bathrooms.

Room 22

A Standard double bedroom, room 22 is a cosy room and has an en-suite with a bath and shower. This room is situated at the rear of the inn.

Room 23

Our family room comfortably accommodates four people and comprises of two adjoining bedrooms and an en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom can be made up with a double bed or twin beds. The adjoining bedroom contains two single beds. The en-suite bathroom comes with a seperate shower and bath. If needed, there is also space in the master bedroom for an additional Z-bed. Prices shown in the tariff are based on two people sharing. The room rate increases by £35 per night for each of the additional beds used in the adjoining room (Breakfast included). We only charge an additional £25 per night for the additional Z-bed (Breakfast included).

Room 24

This is one of our Classic bedrooms and is located at the front of the inn, looking out over the village. Bedroom 24 has an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath. This room is available with a large double bed or with twin beds and has space for a cot if necessary.

Room 25

A Standard bedroom, room 25 is situated at the rear of the inn. It is larger than Rooms 27 & 28, but is the same in price due to its location above our kitchens and therefore slightly affected by fan noise during meal times. This room is available with a large double bed or with twin beds and has an en-suite bathroom with shower and bath.

Room 26

A Classic bedroom, room 26 is a double room situated at the rear of the inn. This room has en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. This room is big enough to hold an extra bed or cot if required.

Room 27

A Standard double bedroom, room 27 has ensuite bathroom with a mini bath and shower. This room is situated at the rear of the inn.

Room 28

A Standard double bedroom, room 28 has an ensuite bathroom with a mini bath and shower. This room is situated at the rear of the inn.

The Masons Arms has eleven cottage bedrooms boasting many of the original features associated with the fourteenth century Masons Arms, including wooden beamed ceilings and antique furnishings. All these rooms are located within the beautiful inn gardens and have views over the valley, several look out to sea.

Listed below is a description for our Cottage bedrooms.

Cottage 1

A small Clasic double cottage room with en-suite bathroom, with a shower and bath. This is a ground floor room with views over the valley. If necessary this room has space for a cot, but not a bed.

Cottage 2

This Superior room can be made up as a double or a twin room and comes with an en-suite bathroom. The bathroom has a seperate shower and a Whirlpool bath. This is a first floor bedroom with views over the valley. There is adequate space for an extra Z-bed or cot if necessary.

Cottage 3

This Standard room is the smallest double room at The Masons and comes with an en-suite, with a shower.

Cottage 4

This Superior bedroom can be made as a twin or a double and comes with an en-suite bathroom with seperate shower and bath. It is a first floor room with views of the valley and comes with space to accommodate either an extra Z-bed or cot if necessary.

Cottage 5

This is a Superior double with a four poster bed with ample space for an extra bed or cot. The room has an en-suite with shower and separate Whirlpool bath. This is a ground floor bedroom with patio doors straight into the gardens.

Cottage 6

This Classic room can be made up as a double or a twin room and comes with an en-suite with shower. This is a first floor room with views of the valley and has ample space to accommodate an extra bed or cot if necessary.

Cottage 7

This Superior room can be made up as a double or a twin room and comes with an en-suite bathroom with separate bath and shower. This is a ground floor room with patio style doors that open into the garden. There is ample space for an extra bed or cot if required.

Cottage 8

This Superior room can be a double or a twin and comes with an en-suite bath and seperate shower. This is a first floor room with views of the valley. There is plenty of room for an additional bed or cot if required.

Cottage 9

This Masons Room is a four poster double bedroom, with an en-suite bath and seperate shower. This is a ground floor room with patio style doors that open straight into the garden. The room comes with a sofa and also has plenty of room for an additional bed or cot if required.

Cottage 11

This is a Superior double with a four poster bed, with en-suite bath and seperate shower. This is a ground floor bedroom and comes with a sofa and has ample space for an additional bed or cot if required.

Cottage 15

This Masons Room is a large four poster double with an en-suite bath and seperate shower. This is a ground floor room and comes with a sofa and has ample space for an additional bed or cot if required.

Branscombe Cottage Rooms

The Masons Arms has three Branscombe Rooms, which boast many of the original features associated with the fourteenth century Masons Arms, including wooden beamed ceilings and antique furnishings. All three come with beautiful & interesting interior furnishings. These rooms are located within the beautiful gardens of the Inn & have views over the valley & the sea.

Cottage 10 is a first floor room with views over the valley towards the sea. The room boasts a four poster bed, en-suite bath and separate shower, there is also a sitting area with sofa & large colour TV & comes with ample room for three extra beds

Cottage 12is a first floor room with views over the valley towards the sea. The room boasts a four poster bed, en-suite bath and separate  shower, there is also a sitting area with sofa & large colour TV & comes with ample room for two extra beds. Cottage 12 even has its own outside terrace & private car parking space.

Cottage 17is a ground floor room and comes with an en-suite bath and separate shower. There is a sofa in the bedroom & a large colour TV and also has ample space for an extra bed or cot if required. This room has patio style doors that open straight into the garden where there is a large patio area to the side of the cottage over looking the valley and sea.

Terms

Check in from 3pm and check out before 11am.

Children aged between 2 and 12 years sharing their parents’ room are charged at £25 per night, exclusive of dinner. Occupancy of the twin room attached to Room 23 is charged at £35 per person.

Dogs are welcome at The Masons, however they are not allowed in all of the bedrooms and we ask that you advise us when booking if your dog will be travelling with you. A charge of £10 per night is made for each dog. Food can be arranged at extra cost. We request that your dog not be left unattended in your room at any time. If damage is caused to bedroom fixtures and fittings, by your dog, the cost of refurbishment will be charged to your account.

All rooms at The Masons Arms are non-smoking.

All rooms have ensuite bathroom, central heating, colour television, direct dial telephone and tea making facilities. All the luxury rooms have a shower and bath. All cottage rooms are in the garden overlooking the Inn.

At weekends the minimum booking is for two nights, we may relax this at our discretion.

A reservation can only be considered to be confirmed and guaranteed:

If the hotel has received a valid credit card number with supporting information to act as a guarantee. If time permits the Hotel will, normally, send an email confirmation.

Payment of Accounts

Payment on departure is accepted by either Cash, MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Maestro and Solo.

Cancellations

When a reservation is made both the guest and the hotel management enter into a legally binding contract. In the event of a cancelltion less than 72 hours prior to the arrival the cost of the first night will be debitted from your card. Full payment may be required for Christmas and New Year bookings.

 

The Management reserves the right to alter these terms and prices at its absolute discretion without prior notice.
